Bachelor of Architecture

DOWNTOWN MIXED BUILDING.

DESCRIPTION: Design and Visualization.

SEMESTER: 8.

YEAR:2008.

Located in Cali (Colombia), this design was a project assigned to me during my eighth semester in College. The assignment challenge was to intervene one block in the downtown area with three buildings (Commercial, Hotel and Mixed Building). Joined together on the ground level this would allow people access to each one.

I chose the mixed building, in the first floor I created eleven local stores and the security gate to enter the apartments building. Between the second and five floor, I designed thirty-two apartments and three different areas.

  • The first apartment (403.1 ft2) included a kitchen, combined dining and living room, one bathroom, linen closet and one bedroom.

  • The second apartment (582.3 ft2) included a kitchen, combined dining and living room, balcony, laundry room, one bathroom and two bedrooms.

  • The third apartment (645.8 ft2) included a kitchen, combined dining and living room, laundry room, one bathroom and two bedrooms.

YEAR:2006.

Located in Cali (Colombia), this design was a project assigned to me durin my third semester in college. The challenge was to create a small house approximately 753 ft2.

Designed for a young couple for weekend use only. The first floor has a combined living and dining room, a combined kitchen and laundry room and deck/pool. The second floor has a master bedroom and full bath complete with a balcony and terrace.

The spacious terrace is the most important feature of this house, allowing one the advantage of appreciating the beautiful views over the mountains.
